Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the courtyard, grade 6 groups will report to the field and grade 7 groups will report to the gym.

Our grade 7 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this weekStaff, please follow the duty rotation sent out.  


Just a reminder if you have forgotten or need lunch, we have free lunches served from the library every day. Please go to the library at the beginning of your eating time to pick up your lunch.

This Week: Lets celebrate the Bayside Summer Countdown with Theme Days: Monday-Monochromatic/Memory, Tuesday-School Pride, Tacky Tourist Day, Wednesday-Workout Gear or Wacky and Wild clothes, Thursday-Tropical Thursday or Superhero and Villian Theme, Friday-Fun in the Sun/Tye Dye day.

  • Dungeons & Dragons Club: We will meet in Mr. Carpenter’s room 114. Don’t forget to bring your lunch.

Tuesday 

  • GIRL TALK is in Room 335 today during the first half of lunch with Ms. Nickerson. This group is for Grade 8 girls who want to join a community of girls who support girls.

This week’s staff member lived on a tiny island in the South Pacific Ocean, taught art at a men's prison in the United States, and loves the Boston Celtics. Who are they?

Congratulations to the team on a fantastic effort at the Fundy Minor regional flag football tournament in Saint John. We were defeated in our first two games, but came back strong to narrowly miss out on the semi-finals. Thank you to our cheerleaders for coming out to encourage us. The coaches are proud of the team and impressed with your dedication, Broncos!

Track & Field : 

1200m – tryouts meet Mr. Jeffrey in the lobby of the gym at second half of lunch today, Monday, May 29th and first half of lunch tomorrow, Tuesday. 

4 x 100m Relay today, Monday, May 29th at 11:45 and any 100, 200, 400, and 800m runners who haven’t run yet. Last chance. 

High Jump will be held Tuesday, May 30th at 11:45.

Congratulations to the team on a fantastic effort at the Fundy Minor regional flag football tournament in Saint John. We were defeated in our first two games, but came back strong to narrowly miss out on the semi-finals. Thank you to our cheerleaders for coming out to encourage us. The coaches are proud of the team and impressed with your dedication, Broncos!

School Dance: Ticket Sales closed yesterday at noon! Students who purchased tickets will receive their dance bracelet during D or E block this afternoon. The bracelet must be worn to gain entrance to the dance. Students can enter the gym doors at 6:30 pm, and must be picked up in the lower parking lot by 8:30. Backpacks will not be permitted.

Co-Ed Flag football: 

New practices scheduled, Thursday and Friday, May 25 & 26 from 5-7pm.  

The tournament is scheduled for May 28th at Emera Park (formerly Shamrock Park).  

 

Track & Field : 

Please sign up at the gym for the Track & Field team events. 400m runners meet at the gym Wednesday and 200m runners meet Thursday at 11:45am. Be ready to tryout. 

 

TALENT SHOW!  Do you have an entertaining talent? Do you sing, play an instrument, dance, do magic or comedy.  Ms. Lucy is organizing a talent show for early JuneAuditions will be held in a few weeks. Start planning and practicing now!!!  Let’s show everyone how talented Bayside Students are!!! 


MATH COMPETITION – Congratulations to all the students who participated in the math competition here at school yesterdayAll students will be receiving a certificate in the coming weeks, but we wanted to acknowledge the top 3 by grade levelWe will have a small prize for the winning students next week. 


 

UNBSJ Math Competition – The results have also arrived from last Friday’s UNBSJ math competitionCongratulations to Hoda Mohamed for placing 4th overall on the UNBSJ Campus for grade 8.
