Magnetic Hill Happenings

Two special events are happening at Magnetic Hill School.

Andrew Middleton from Atlantic Youth will be presenting at Magnetic Hill School on Wednesday January 25th. The students on our Explorer Team will be part of an interactive workshop entitled "Connected Kids" and will talk about social media and safer online use.

An evening session sponsored by the Magnentic Hill Home and School and the Northrop Frye PSSC will be held at 7:00 in the cafeteria at Northrop Frye School. Andrew was at Magnetic Hill and presented to parents on the topic of "Addiction". This year he will be sharing a session on "Youth Trends". This presenation talks about current teen trends on subjects like sexualtiy, on line use and mental health.
We are hoping all parents can attend this session (especially for parents with students in grade 4-12) All are welcome, but this session is for an adult audience.

Sistema Visiting Artists
On the morning of January 26th our K-6 students will be treated to a special event. Visiting Sistema Artist Joey Salvalaggio will share an interpretation of the Glooscap Legend of how Sugar Loaf Mountain was created. This spoken word and musical interpretation will include Mr. Salvalaggion on Oboe accompanied by a bassoon and clarinet.
