Wednesday, November 29th, will be Pajama Day at EPS. Anyone choosing to wear their pajamas to school that day are asked to pay $1, the proceeds of which will go to our Goodwill Fund. This fund helps support families in need in our community.

The Great Pajama Rally will be finishing up next week. EPS middle level students in the Alphastars’ leadership group are working to be able to donate as many new pairs of pajamas as they can to kids at Headstart, Moncton Crossroads for Women, as well as to students in our own school. If you would like to help with this rally, please drop off a new pair of pajamas (from baby to adult) in the box located in the lobby, any time between 8:00-4:00 pm, before November 30th.

On Wednesday, November 30th, many grade 8 Alphastars will be travelling to Halifax to attend Free the Children’s Atlantic We Day. Free the Children is a world-renowned international charity started by two Canadians, Craig and Marc Kielburger. This event celebrates the volunteer efforts of young people who help less advantaged peers. One cannot buy a ticket to We Day; instead groups and individuals who wish to attend must earn their way through local and global initiatives. At We Day, students will have an opportunity to listen to international speakers and musicians. The students are extremely excited to have such an opportunity!

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday evening, November 30th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and on Friday morning, December 1st, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. A reminder that there will be no school for students on Friday, December 1st, due to Parent-Teacher Conferences and Professional Development for Teachers.
