At Birchmount School Ashley Baisley had her Middle School Tech students take on a project that built new skills in the area of sewing but a project that also built on connecting them to our community and its needs. They traced, cut, stuffed and sewed cat toys that were then donated to CARMA (shelter for abandoned cats). The students worked
very hard to assemble and sew the toys to be ready for the deadline.
This project was an engaging experience for our Bears, especially for certain students who had the chance to teach their peers a skill that was very
familiar to them. It was wonderful
to witness the confidence and pride they took in completing the project and the great team work displayed.
