There will be a Home and School meeting on Monday September 16th at 6:30 pm in the Library.  All are welcome.

The weather is changing, and the mornings are getting cooler. Please ensure your is coming dressed appropriately for the cool mornings.

This is a reminder that the student fee for the 2019-2020 school year is $25.  We realize that this time of year can prove to be financial demanding for families.  You may wish to pay the school fee in installments.  Feel free to discuss this with your child`s teacher. We are encouraging all of our parents to sign up online for the School Cash net option to pay for the school fees.  There is more information available on the district website.

Thank you to all who attended Meet the Staff Night.  It was a great night with a wonderful turnout.  Should you like to see the information that was shared during the evening, the presentations have been uploaded to the school website under the News section.

There was a meeting yesterday Thursday, September 12th at recess about Cross Country. If your child missed the meeting the information has been posted on the school website under the documents tab and in the outdoor bulletin board located at the front door of the school. Also posted on our school website under the documents tab is the list of extra-curricular activities, clubs and sports that will be offered for the school year.  Please remind your child to listen to the announcements for start-up meetings and remind them of their commitment once they join an activity.  Permission slips will be sent home with children once an activity begins. These permission slips will not be placed on School Cash.

If you are experiencing any difficulties with the new School Messenger attendance app, please contact the school and we will gladly help you with the problem.

Next, Saturday September 21st, has been declared Rebecca Schofield Day in New Brunswick.  We are encouraging our students to participate in honoring this deserving young lady by performing random acts of kindness and recording it on the special pink paper that will be sent home next week.  Please note that this activity is completely voluntary.  Should your child choose to participate please return the paper to your child’s teacher by Monday, September 23rd.  The papers will be used to create a visual display of all the good that our students have accomplished.

That’s all for now. Thanks for Listening and have a great weekend.

Friday, September 6th

Good afternoon parents and guardians of Arnold H. McLeod School

Welcome back!  We are very pleased with our first week of school.  The students are quickly settling in and the learning has begun.

Way to go parents and guardians of AHM. We have 57% of our families using School Cash Online to pay school fees and fill out important school fees. That is 190 out of our 329 families. Let’s see if we can have 90% by the end of this month. Information on how to sign up is posted on our school website and on our What’s Happening boards which is located at the front entrance of the school and the bulletin board directly across from the office. You will also get a paper copy in your student handbook, next week.

Reminder that students are not to be dropped off before 7:55am. There are no teachers on duty prior to this time. Sometimes you see students prior to the 7:55 bell- they are Lewisville students here for bus transfers.
