·         The Reach for the Top team is selling raffle tickets on a gift card tree. Due to the generosity in prizes, there will now be TWO draws where the winner will receive gift cards to Cineplex, Sobeys, Tim Hortons, Apple, Google Play, gas stations, Shopper's Drug Mart, and more. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. The draw will take place on December 19th.  See any Reach player or Mrs. Natasha LeBlanc. 


·         It’s time to FILL the BUS, Highlanders!! Please send canned and other non-perishable food items in with your child as often as you can in the next couple weeks while BMHS leads our local schools for Food Depot Alimentaire. Let’s make it the best year yet!


·         On December 5th from 7-8pm in the BMHS Theatre, an International Student Recruitment Officer for the University of New Brunswick is hosting an information session for International Students and Newcomers and their parents/guardians about the application process to university for International Students and the supports available to them. Anyone looking for more information can get in touch with a guidance counsellor or email the recruitment officer directly at


·         On December 5th a representative from Saint Thomas University will be at BMHS in the afternoon conducting individual meetings with students to answer questions they might have about their application or the university in general. During this time, they will also be offering on-the-spot admission. To have a meeting students must sign up in the guidance office.


·         The BMHS music department is presenting a Holiday Concert on December 12th at 7:00 pm in the BMHS Theatre. This one-hour presentation will feature the Chorus, Band and Vocal Ensemble. Admission is $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for students.


·         The BMHS Free the Children Cookie Dough Fundraiser is now underway.  3-pound tubs are $12 each with 50% of proceeds going to Free the Children organization.   Free the Children members will be available to take your orders the week of December 2nd-6th during lunch in the foyer.  Payment is available through school cash online. 


·         Grade 11 & 12 students who are required to write the English Language Proficiency Assessment were given a letter to bring home today explaining the details.  This assessment will take place during exam week in January.
