A special thank you to the parent volunteers, PSSC Members, BMHS retirees, and BMHS Alumni in making our May Day Event another successful day and evening.

There will be a Friends of The Highlander planning meeting held on Tuesday, May 30th at 7 PM in the school library.  Please drop by, bring a friend and join the group to plan ideas and events for the next 2017-18 school year.  For further information please reach out to Adam Trider (856-3469) or Shannon Baxter – Chair of the Friends of the Highlanders. 

Congratulations to the Envirothon Teams who competed at provincials last week.  Envirothon is an Environmental Science competition where teams of five students complete 4 field tests and present a solution to an environmental problem.  Our BMHS senior team placed second in the Forestry category.  

Pop Rocks a Mini Musical will be presented by the Music Department on Wednesday, May 31st, Thursday, June 1st and Friday, June 2nd in the BMHS Theatre at 7PM. This is a student written musical and will feature favorite songs from the 60's to present day, and will be performed by the Chorus, soloists and Rock Band. This is a fun presentation sure to have you moving in your seats. Come out and support the Arts at BMHS. Tickets will be available at the door, $10 for adults and $5 for students.

 Student Government & Imagine Action will be hosting a Kindness Day and Corn boil on Tuesday, May 30th.  The Corn boil will be at the school from 4-7 PM


This is a message for all parents of grade 11 students.  The school year is coming to a close and with it comes preparation for many end of year events, including graduation.  Each year, the graduation ceremony is always followed by a reception for the graduates and their families, and it is traditionally organized by the grade 11 class.  In order to provide refreshments and food for this reception, the parents of grade 11 students are kindly asked to make a monetary donation to help cover expenses.  It is completely voluntary, with a suggested amount of $20, though any donation would be greatly appreciated.  The donation can be paid online through school cash, or brought to the school office. Thank you.
