Talk Mail - June 2nd, 2017

Monday, June 5th, is our annual Awards Night where we celebrate the accomplishments of students in grades 9-12 and we encourage all parents and students to attend.  There are certificates and major awards handed out at this free event. The dress code is business casual. A reception beginning at 6:30PM with refreshments and light snacks followed by the presentation of awards for 7PM.

AP Psychology students are reminded to return their text books to Ms. Callahan

This is a message for all parents of grade 11 students.  The school year is coming to a close and with it comes preparation for many end of year events, including graduation.  Each year, the graduation ceremony is always followed by a reception for the graduates and their families, and it is traditionally organized by the grade 11 class.  In order to provide refreshments and food for this reception, the parents of grade 11 students are kindly asked to make a monetary donation to help cover expenses.  It is completely voluntary, with a suggested amount of $20, though any donation would be greatly appreciated.  The donation can be paid online through school cash, or brought to the school office. Thank you.

On the graduation program we are proud to list scholarships/ bursaries that our students receive. Any graduating student who has received a scholarship or bursary, including entrance scholarships, and would like to have them recognized on the graduation program needs to submit documentation of the scholarship to Mr. Steve Harris, Guidance Department.  The deadline for providing them to Mr. Harris is Friday, June 16th.

On the Anglophone East Scholarship Webpage there are a number of Local Scholarships that are due to Mr. Harris in guidance by Monday, June 5th. Due to Mr. Harris being absent from school on this day, the deadline will be extended to the end of the school day on Tuesday, June 6th.

Please join the BMHS Staff on welcoming Mr. Martin Daigle as the new principal for the beginning of the 2017-18 school year as Mrs. Roper will be retiring in June.

Please visit our school website to view a message to parents re The Friends of the Highlanders Fundraising project.

Have a wonderful weekend!
