                        Minutes from the October 2017 were read.

Old Business:

The bagel fundraiser was a huge success with a profit of $3510.00 and was successfully delivered Nov 9th.  Very many people were satisfied with this.


The cheese fundraiser was also a success and has a tentative delivery date of the 5th of Dec and 12th of Dec.  The profit from the cheese was $954.60. 


Christmas Bazaar – Nov 19, 2017 – 12-5

                        Alyssa has the all the vendor deposits and will transfer to Chelsey for a deposit.

                        Tables going to school Nov 17 around 2:30-3:00 and the rest Sunday morning.

                        Photographer will be there too. Someone to sell tickets for the basket for H&S.

Membership for Home & School - $5.00, deadline is Dec 2017. We also discussed the importance of support and involvement.  Will be in the next newsletter


Basketball nets are $1500 for installation just waiting on the invoice.  Trina made the motion to pay for the installation and Chelsey 2nd it. 


A cheque was written to Emalee Leblanc for $250 for the scholarship fund and was dropped off.




Treasurers Report:

Chelsey read the report for October 2017, started with opening balance of $5783.65 and ending balance in Oct 2017 was $9955.10

Oct – 2017 - expenses for Oct was $1523.55 + $4.95 (service fee) for bus trips

Oct – 2017 – income was $5695.00

$1000.00 from RBC (going to basketball net installation) - $1500.00 – need invoice

$1000.00 from RBC for ice cream social???








Principals Report:

                Home & School November 2017

Kick-Off took place on Thursday, Nov. 09 @ 6:30 pm.

Friday, Oct. 06 the grades 3-5 visited the New Brunswick Legislature

Friday, October 27 – We got a visit from the coach and a few players from the Moncton Magic Basketball team. They did 2 presentations, one to K-2 and one geared toward 3-5.

Nov.6 & 7 Grade 5 are prepared take-home dinners for the veteran’s/ families – potato scallop, coleslaw, ham and Mrs. Sheila Thomas was in to make homemade apple pies with the girls.

Wed Nov 01 grades 1 & 2 visited  the Wetlands in Sackville

Tuesday, Nov. 07 Calithumpians did a musical presentation on Canada 150 and offered workshops to all the grade levels that afternoon.

Thursday, Nov 09 Grades 4 & 5 visited the Wetlands in Sackville

Parent Teacher Interviews are scheduled for THURSDAY afternoon and evening November 30, from 2:30-4:00 & 5:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. and FRIDAY morning, December 01, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT – Wed. Dec 20 at 9 am




New Business:


Christmas concert is Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at 9:00 am.


Christmas Santa Mart will be on December 15th, 2017.  Students are to bring a male and female gift.  Still, have bags from last year. The notice for the gifts will go in the next newsletter.

We will need some Xmas decorations and Xmas tree and music.


There was mention from Mr. Doyle about potentially putting some internet drops in the classes for some desktop computers, just waiting for the quote. 


There was a request for art supplies for the school as well for $1500.00, Beth made a motion and Alyssa seconded it. 


There was mention of potentially buying some iPad as well.
