·         New WIN Block option!  Learn photography in room 232 with Mr. Morin.

·         Students participating in the YAM group will be meeting on Tuesday, October 10th, during period 2 in room 109.


·         Oulton College will be offering tours of their campus on October 27th for student in grades 11 and 12 interested in IT & Entrepreneurship.  Sign-up sheets can be found on the door of the guidance office.


·         Mount Allison University will be holding an Open House on Friday, October 13th from 8:45 – 3:45 pm with registration beginning at 8:30 am.  Tour the campus, learn more about academic programs and extra-curricular activities.  Eat in an award-winning dining hall, sit in on mini-lectures and have time to explore residences, labs and all that Mount Allison has to offer.  On-the-spot admissions will be available, so bring your most recent transcript to waive your $50 application fee.  To register, visit mta.ca/openhouse.


·         Are you interested in attending the University of Alberta?  Come meet the representative to learn about their programs.  They will be in the guidance office on Thursday, October 12th during WIN block.


·         REMINDER – If you would like to apply to a university, you need to request a transcript from the main office.  It takes up to 3 days for transcripts to be processed.  YOU MUST PAY FOR YOUR TRANSCRIPTS WHEN YOU FILL OUT YOUR REQUEST.


·         Anyone interested in indoor rock climbing – see Mr. Delaney in room 115 for the details of the High School Bouldering League starting on October 16th.


·         Congratulations to the HTHS Golf Team!  On Friday they played the Pineneedles golf course against seven other AAA teams in the Province.  Well done team!


·         Cross Country Team have a meeting at the beginning of lunch in room 327 with Mr. Matchett to discuss the upcoming regional meet.


·         Vocal Ensemble meets today at 12:45 in the auditorium.  Please be prompt.


·         As of late there have been a number of students wearing head bands.  Head bands are considered head gear so they are forbidden.


·         Congrats to our ladies softball team who are heading to provincials on Saturday.


·         We will have a spirit bus going to Saint John this Saturday to support our ladies softball team.  This is a chance for a banner so this is a huge deal!  The sign-up sheet is outside of the SC office and you have to sign up by Thursday.


·         TROJAN TREK IS TOMORROW! Come dressed in maroon and white!


·         Trojan Trek pledge sheets are due on the 18th.  Remember to get out and fundraise!


·         Huge thank you to everyone for helping out with the food drive.  HTHS won by a landslide.  Our contributions will help Food Depot Alimentaire.


·         Tony & Scotty from 96.9 will be here at the school tomorrow doing their show.  They will be walking the Trojan Trek with us.  Please make them feel welcome.


·         Next blood drive is on October 13th.  Sign-up sheet is outside Mr. McGillivary's room.


·         Remember to bring in Boston Pizza receipts to the office.  We get 10% back to go towards Safe Grad.


·         Grads – Make sure you bring a copy of your birth certificate to the office and have your height measured while you are there.


·         Boys Soccer team plays tonight at home at 5:30  The boys have not lost in regulation!


·         Girls Soccer game tonight in Riverview at 5:00.


·         Girls Field Hockey game here tomorrow at 5:30 against MHS.


·         Since its October and Halloween is just around the corner, today at lunch we will have Halloween Town playing in the auditorium.


·         Thursday is the Annual Trial Relay!  There are still two spots left, so sign up your team of seven.


·         Thursday night is our annual Toga Dance!  This dance will be a black light dance in the gym and will be $8.  Anyone who came out to see the last dance knows they are tons of fun.


·         Friday will be teacher pie in the face!!


·         Yearbook meeting will be on Wednesday during WIN Block.


·         There will be a Grade Rep meeting today.
