·         The annual provincial math competition was held last Thursday at the Universite de Moncton. Congratulations to Jon Ryu in Grade 9, who placed 1st in the Anglophone East district. He also placed 1st for the combined Anglophone & Francophone East districts. He also placed 2nd in the province.  Well done Jon – what an incredible way to represent HTHS!

 

·         All track and field athletes should know their practice schedule for this week, which is posted outside the gymnasium.

 

·         Career explorations interviews will take place this week. If you have not submitted your application form, please bring it in as soon as possible.

 

·         After school today at 4:30 the Girls Rugby team takes on RHS at Trimble!

 

·         Harrison Trimble's last student blood drive will be held on May 23rd!  Sign-up sheet is posted on the Grad wall in the lobby. Anyone age 17 and over can donate.

 

·         Calling all Grads! It’s that time of the year when we start collecting pictures for the grad slideshow. Please bring your school appropriate pictures to Room 214 on a USB before May 17th.

 

·         Any Grade 10 or 11 student interested in being a mentor next year can find the application forms outside of Room 214.  Applications are due next week.

 

·         There will be a meeting this Wednesday at the start of lunch for students interested in attending the WE Day seminar in Halifax in November.  The meeting will be in Mrs. Doucet's room, Room 310.  Hope to see you there!

 

·         A reminder to any Grade 11 student wanting to take Co-op Ed next year, the deadline to get your application form into Mr. Melanson is Wednesday of this week.

 

·         Harrison Trimble Drama presents Twitch, a comedy directed by Grade 12 student, Lucy Higgins, and Door to Door, a mix of comedy and drama, directed in our auditorium on Tuesday, May 15th at 7:00pm.  Ticket are on sale in the main office and on SchoolCash.  Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $10 for adults. 

 

·         Any students who are interested in travelling to Fredericton next week for a one-day conference on cyber security are asked to meet in room 331 during WIN block on Tuesday morning or see Mr. Binet, Ms Langis or Mr. Flanagan for more information.
