A New Week on the Hill :)

Dear Magnetic Hill Families

I hope you made the best of our great weather this weekend!

Thanks to all of you who came out to support our grade 8 day at the school. Huge thanks to the many parents of our grade 8 classes who came out to help. This could not have happened without your time and efforts. Thank you!

This week we have our Arts-Smart showcase night this Wednesday beginning at 6:00. Our Orange team has worked hard on their projects and they are looking forward to sharing with our community.

This is a short week for students, there are no classes on Friday the 19th and again on Monday the 22nd due to the NBTA day and Victoria Day.

Assessment season has begun on the Hill. Students in grades 2 and 6 will be writing provincial assessments. The grade 2s in ELA, the 6s in multiple subject areas.

We are still collecting plastic bags in our plastic bag challenge. This environmental project continues through June 2nd.

Our Family Fun day is coming up on June 3rd. If you are interested in helping out, or just plain curious about the day, please contact us at the school. 856-3428

The Kindergarten Orientation Day is May 31st. Our current “Crop” of Kindergarten students will be at home for the day, so we can spend time with our Pre-Kindergarten students and get them oriented to our school.

Yearbooks should be in soon. If you have pre-ordered we will be sure to get them to you as soon as they come in. If you did not order there will be a limited number of extra books available for purchase at the office.

With the warmer weather on the horizon we do ask that you review our dress code for all levels in our school code of conduct. Being proactive will help us to avoid conversations that are uncomfortable for both students and staff alike.

A reminder we are a “Mabel’s Labels” school if you use this product and need to reorder.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Thanks again for your continued support of Magnetic Hill School

Mr. Smith and Staff
