End of the Week at Magnetic Hill School

Dear Magnetic Hill Families,

A few announcements to share from Magnetic Hill School as we move to the end of the week.


A reminder that the last day to pay for the ski program is Friday, January 12th, before Midnight.
The program will start Friday, January 19th at Poley Mountain. The mandatory lessons are from 5pm to 6 pm with an instructor. Please ensure you have arranged a drive for your child to and from Poley Mountain. If you have any questions, please contact the school.

For students in Kindergarten, Grade 2 and Mrs. Ells Grade 5 class, the “Making the Choice” program registration forms are due by January 29th. You can refer to the ASD-E website for further information.

There will be some modifications to the lunch set up for students beginning next week. Students in grades 2, 3, 5 and 6 will be eating from 11:30-11:55, while students in K, 1, 4, 7 and 8 will be eating from 11:55-12:25. Homeroom teachers will be explaining the new set up prior to implementation next week.

Our next Home and School meeting is on January 16th at 6:30 and our next PSSC meeting is on January 23rd.

The Grade 8 Quebec Trip Committee is organizing at “Hockey Day on the Hill” on January 20th from 3-9:30. Activities and Games are planned, you can see Winnipeg v. Calgary, Boston v Montreal and Toronto v Ottawa.
Cost is $5 per person or $20 per family, includes a hot dog or hamburger, chips and a drink. Includes a chance to win by picking a time that your team will score.
