Mental Health Symposium
Good Evening,

This is Superintendent, Gregg Ingersoll calling to invite you to an exciting event taking place next week.

In Partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association, Atlantic Wellness Centre and Department of Social Development-Wellness Branch, Anglophone East School District is hosting our seventh Annual Mental Health Symposium at Harrision Trimble High School on Wednesday, May 3rd at 6 p.m.

The theme, What’s Your Thing, encourages our students and our community to find healthy and productive mechanisms for coping with everyday stress and anxiety.

The Symposium is an educational evening featuring presentations from students in each of our eight high schools showcasing the positive mental health initiatives they have made reality in their school communities over the year.

We are also fortunate to have teacher, Heather Gunn available to give her “It All Starts with Sleep” presentation and Lesley Smythe from the Atlantic Wellness Centre giving her presentation entitled “Mindful Social Media Practices”.

The Symposium is an educational evening featuring presentations from students in each of our eight high schools showcasing the positive mental health initiatives stemming from the Youth Mental Health Summit held in the fall they have made reality in their school communities over the year.

Thank you.
