            Finals- Boys & Girls        - Thursday May 9, 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm

This Jamboree is a team event.  Teams should consist of 3 doubles teams (6 players) and 6 singles players.  These players may be the same or they may be different.  Each single and doubles team needs to be ranked in relation to your badminton players.  Schools will be called up to play against each other.

Ex:  RMS player #1 will play Bessborough player #1

RMS player #2 will play Bessborough player #2

1.  Girls and boys teams are considered separate and a school need not have      both to compete. Schools may register two teams, but each team must be complete.

2. The time of the competitions will be available after I receive registrations. Each team will only compete on one of the designated days. I will be able to tell you the day after I receive all registrations.

3. Teams will be divided into divisions based on last year’s results and will play a round-robin. Top teams will move on to play-offs.

4. Games will be timed 4 minutes.  If a tie exists at the end of the time, the team scoring the next point will be declared the winner.  If the buzzer sounds during a rally, that rally is to be finished.

7.  Individual stats will not be kept; only school records (ie 6-0, 5-1)

8.  At the end of each game, records will be kept of wins and losses as well as total points for and against. (Only to be used in the event of a tie)

9.  An overall boys and girls champion will be declared by combining the doubles and singles records.

10.  Registration fee is $50 per school which will cover the cost of shuttles, ribbons and trophies. Makes cheques payable to RIVERVIEW EAST SCHOOL. You may make a cheque for $100 for both the grade 5,6 Jamboree and the Grade 7,8 Championships.

11.  I will have grade 7 & grade 8 badminton players to help keep score on each court.

12.  Please ensure that your players know the rules of play and etiquette, such as the service lines for doubles and singles and boundary lines.

13.  No coaching from coaches or parents is allowed while the matches are in play.

13.  Please keep Riverview East School clean.
