MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS, Tuesday, June 20th

​~If you have any Library books at home or in class please return them as soon as possible.

~Any teachers who have borrowed items from Mr. Dixon in regards to any Math resources please return them as soon as possible back to his classroom.

~Congratulations to all the students who participated at the District Track & Field championships!  There are a few events we placed in...  Female 150m Dash - Gr. 6 Zainab came in 2nd, Female 800m Gr. 6 Zainab came in 1st, Female 1200m Gr. 6 Claire Forsythe 1st, Zainab Massaquoi 2nd, Male 300m Gr.7&8 Cohen Strang 2nd, Gr. 5 Male Shotput Quintan 2nd, Emmett 3rd.  If any students would like to see their time or placement, see Mme. Betts at 10:15 in her room.

​This years Celebration will be on June 15th from 6:00-9:00pm.

~NFS remember tomorrow is Field Day.  Dress appropriately, sneakers, and sunscreen are a must.

~Impact students there is a meeting in the art room at first recess.  We are getting ready for field day tomorrow.

JUNE 23RD BUSSING INFORMATION

Good Morning,

Buses will be at Northrop Frye on June 23rd, last day of school, at 11:15am.  The shuttle from Evergreen to Northrop Frye for late immersion students will be at 11:00am (Bus 112)

LOST AND FOUND

​June 23rd is fast approaching.  Lost and found items are piling up and will be donated at the end of day June 23rd.  Please have your student check out the lost and found or come in yourself to check for lost items.

~Thank you to the students who remembered to walk their bikes on the school grounds.  We really appreciate this as it reduces the possibility of injury.

~During the week of June 5th-June 9th, we will be having special activity days as well as the vote for the student vs. teacher pie in the face, meaning the students will vote for a teacher to get a pie in the face.

June 5th - PJ Day ($1), start the vote for student vs. teacher pie in the face (0.50)

June 6th - K-2 Freezies sales ($1), vote continues(0.50)

Spirit Week For World Vision

​During the week of June 5th-9th, we will be having special activity days as a whole school in support of World Vision. All proceeds will go to the World Vision Organization to help children in the developing world. Students will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets all week that will choose which teacher will get a pie in the face at our June assembly.

June 5th- PJ Day($1), Pie in the Face ballot($0.50)
June 6th- Kindergarten to Grade 2 freezie sale($1 each), Pie in the Face ballot($0.50)

~Grade 4-8 choir celebration also tone chimes group and school band meet at 11:40 in music room.

~Boys softball game today vs Riverview East on field #5.  If the game is cancelled we will have a practice.

~7-8 ball hockey champions are invited to face off against the teachers tomorrow at 12:00.  Grades 5-8 are invited to watch.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT, FRIDAY, MAY 26TH

This is Andrea Boudreau  from Northrop Frye Home and School and I want to personally invite you to our upcoming family fun night. This event is being held this Friday, May 26th from 5-7PM and is a time for families in our community to come out and celebrate a great year and have loads of fun! Come enjoy a barbecue sponsored by Sobey's Elmwood Drive for supper, snacks from the canteen, Par-T-Perfect bouncy castles includin the epic obstacle course called Adrenaline Rush for the older kids, face painting, balloon animals, Mosaiq Festival multicultural craft station, gym games by I-play, photo booth, colouring table and carnival games. There will be stage shows as well from our school choir, taekwondo, Chaos dancers and Jump Fit. I even heard there may be some appearances by some special guests! We will also be having a large silent auction during this event with over $5000 worth of great items up for grabs. One example is a complete driving course provided by A&A driving school! Auction items can be paid for with cash or cheque. This event is the Home and School's largest fundraiser each year and the money is used towards much-needed school resources and technology maintenance. Cost is $5/child to a maximum of $20/family and adults are free. Food items will also be available for purchase.

This event is held indoors so will be going RAIN or SHINE! We are very excited for this upcoming event Friday and really hope that you can make it out. All are welcome so be sure to invite a friend or neighbor as well.

CAFETERIA CLOSING AND OPENING

Please be advised that the cafeteria will be closed starting Monday, June ​19th.  There will be NO cafeteria service the last week of school.

The Cafeteria will open in September 11, 2017.  There will be NO cafeteria service the first week of school.
