Hi Melissa,

This sounds like fun ☺  Either February 6th or 7th can work. School begins at 8:15, presentation would  be able to begin around 8:35.  Recess is from 10:00 to 10:15 and lunch begins at 11:55.  Our grades 1 & 2 leave at 1:35, either we do a morning assembly or start at 12:35.   What works best for you?

Subject: RE: Earth Rangers Assembly - Free Opportunity at Queen Elizabeth

Good Morning Principal Frenette,

I hope this email finds you well. My colleague Noushin was in touch last February with an opportunity for a free Earth Rangers Assembly but I understand the timing for the visit wasn’t ideal. I wanted to reach out with another free opportunity and see if we could arrange a visit to Queen Elizabeth in the new year.

This January/February Earth Rangers will be visiting the East Coast as part of our National Tour. We have recently received some funding from the Government of New Brunswick allowing us to offer your school our Earth Rangers Assembly for free! Because of this funding there is absolutely no cost, fundraising, or obligation required to participate. It's a completely free and fun opportunity for your students!

I have attached more information on Earth Rangers and our Assembly this year, and included a brief overview below.

We are in the Moncton area February 6-7, 2018 and I would love to schedule your school for this free opportunity! Please let me know if you are interested, I'd be happy to share more specific availability with you and put your preferred date on hold. Note we do book on a first come, first serve basis and spaces on our tour fill very fast.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Melissa

Earth Rangers is the Kids' Conservation organization. We visit over 800 schools a year across Canada with our live Animal Ambassadors to educate students about the importance of biodiversity and conservation.

Our Earth Rangers Assembly is a 45 minute dynamic, interactive, multi-media experience that features LIVE Animal ambassadors demonstrating their natural behaviors.  We use science-based information to educate children about the importance of protecting biodiversity while highlighting different conservation initiatives across Canada. Students will learn about the animal conservation projects we are helping this year, including the Gray Fox and Salamanders of Quebec's Covey Hill. Please visit www.earthrangers.com<http://www.earthrangers.com/<UrlBlockedError.aspx<https://exchange.nbed.nb.ca/owa/UrlBlockedError.aspx<http://www.earthrangers.com%3chttp:/www.earthrangers.com/%3cUrlBlockedError.aspx%3chttps:/exchange.nbed.nb.ca/owa/UrlBlockedError.aspx>>>>; for details on each project.

Also new for this year,  we will be honouring our great nations birthday by taking you on a journey to celebrate our natural heritage and the great accomplishments Canada and Earth Rangers has achieved for conservation.

The Assembly is geared for grades 1- 6 and is held in the gym. The number of students that can attend one assembly is based on the size of your gym. Our set takes up 25 feet from a back wall, is 30 feet wide and requires 10 feet height clearance. You are welcome to fit any number of students in the gym provided they sit comfortably for the duration of the assembly and allow the necessary amount of space for our set.

Here is a link to a clip of our Assembly so you can get an idea of what your students would experience: https://vimeo.com/90145679/90d65c4539

Good-afternoon Principal Frenette,

I wanted to reach out to share some exciting news about our Earth Rangers Assembly this year and see if we can arrange a visit to your school! This spring Earth Rangers is heading out on a National Tour and we will be visiting NB. Queen Elizabeth School has the opportunity to receive our Earth Rangers School Assembly for free, thanks to a sponsorship from Great West Life! Because your school has been selected, there is no cost or obligations from your school.

We would also like to invite your school to join in our Battery Blitz Mission where you will have a chance to win a pizza party for the whole school.

I have attached a pamphlet with more information, but here is a general overview:

• Earth Rangers Assembly (45 minutes but 1 hour is blocked off)

Our Earth Rangers Assembly is a 45 minute dynamic, interactive, multi-media experience that features

LIVE Animal ambassadors demonstrating their natural behaviors. We use science-based information to

educate children about the importance of protecting biodiversity while highlighting different

conservation initiatives across Canada. Students will learn about the 5 animal conservation projects we

are helping this year. The projects are: the Woodland Caribou, the Pine Marten, the Midland Painted

Turtle, the Eastern Small-footed Bat and Bees and other Pollinators. Please visit

www.earthrangers.com<http://www.earthrangers.com/>; for details on each project.

The Assembly is geared for grades 1- 6 and is held in the gym. The number of students that can attend

one assembly is based on the size of your gym. Our set takes up 25 feet (from a back wall) and requires

10 feet height clearance – roughly the size of a basketball key. You are welcome to fit any number of

students in the gym provided they sit comfortably for the duration of the show and allow the

necessary amount of space for our set. Here is a link to a clip of our Assembly so you can get an idea of

what your students would experience: http://vimeo.com/90145679.

• Earth Rangers Battery Blitz Mission
Due to last year’s success, Earth Rangers is holding a school-wide Battery Blitz Mission in NB again this year and would like to invite your school to participate.

Here’s how it works: On the day of your Assembly, Earth Rangers will bring 6 collection boxes. All your school has to do is fill the boxes with as many batteries as possible during the two weeks following your assembly. The school that brings in the most used batteries (by weight) will win a pizza party for the entire school! Our battery recycling partner for this eco-mission is Call2Recycle. This opportunity is only being offered to select schools and has a limited number of spaces. Please let me know as soon as possible if your school accepts the Mission and would like to participate.

We will be in your area on MAY 1-3 and I would love to book your school for one of these dates. Please contact me and I will make sure to secure a date for you right away. Note, we do book on a first come, first serve basis and spaces on our national tour fill very fast.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you!

Regards,
