The first wrestling practice will be today after school from 3:00-4:30 in the cafeteria.

Grade 6/7 Flex Your Head training session begins today at 1pm in room 2051.

Today we welcome Bryan Butler into the building to do a Drug Awareness presentation to the grade 8 classes.

The Mental Health committee will meet at 11:25 today in the conference room.

The Mental Health committee will be presenting a $500 cheque to Becca Schofield’s mom.  The money was raised at the #Beccatoldmeto dance held here at RMS.  Thank you to the committee leaders, members, staff supporters and the student body for making this possible!  This will take place at 11am and all members are asked to meet at the office.

Any students interested in competing in the English District Public Speaking competition, please see Mr. Burkett in his room at recess for a brief meeting.

RMS clothing will be sold at lunch on Tuesdays & Thursdays at grade 6/7 lunch hour starting tomorrow.

There will be a Mental Health Committee meeting Thursday at 11:25 about upcoming events and also presenting a check from the #beccatoldmeto dance.

RMS Super Saxaphones are reminded to meet for rehearsal during DSB today.

The #Beccatoldmeto dance was a lot of fun due to the efforts of the students of the mental health committee.  Thanks go out to Mme. Levesque and the teachers who volunteered, Mr. Dominie and his crew who allowed more money to go to the charity due to a reduced rate and to the students who came out and had a great time.   We don’t want to forget the Town of Riverview who supplied the photo booth.

Congratulations to all RMS Chess players who participated in the District Chess Tournament.  Abbygail Willett won Silver and will represent RMS & Anglophone East at the provincial tournament.

RMS Pottery Night!

​On Thursday, February 16th from 6:30-8:30pm in the RMS cafeteria, Kim Kirkpatrick, local potter and artist in residence will be hosting an open pottery night for the RMS community.  Kim will be discussing our student pottery project, basic pottery techniques and will be demonstrating pottery throwing.  For more information please contact us at 856-3449.  We hope to see you here!

February 6th-10th is Eating Disorder Awareness Week.  It is important to remember that this is an invisible illness like depression or anxiety because we can’t actually see what’s wrong but it is as serious or more as physical illnesses we can see.  Awareness means that we will not ignore anyone who has mental illness and are caring as we would for a physical injury.
