The Tiger team will be heading to the Zoo and Boardwalk from 8:45 – 1:10pm.  Pythons will be swimming at the Dieppe Aquatic Center from 9:25-11:10am

Mr. Grondin will be speaking to the grade 7’s today during 2nd period.  Remember to ask him how he is doing today J

End of Year Information

Just a few things for parents to note going in to the last week of school for students....

 

Please check the RMS website calendar for information on various field trips taking place this week.

The last day of school, Friday June 23rd, is a half day for students.  Bus students will be dismissed at 11:15am.  Walking students will be dismissed at 11:30

Students are not permitted to sign themselves out early on the last day of school -they must be signed out by a parent or guardian, no exceptions

 

If you would like your child’s report card mailed to you, please provide the office with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

RMS students, your teachers have planned many activities for you this week.  We ask all of you to please be mindful of our RMS code of conduct –respect, pride, success, as you represent our school while out and about in the community.

Students with vases in the office please collect them today.

Dance tickets will be sold for grades 6 & 7 at lunch and for grade 8’s when they return from their field trip.

Congratulations to the RMS Track & Field team.  All members represented the school well and the team finished 2nd in the district.  Thanks to all athletes who participated!

Thank you to the GSA for sharing your stories with the grade 7’s & 8’s.  We are proud and impacted by your words and thoughts.

The last day for cafeteria services is next Wednesday.  Anyone owing money to the cafeteria please pay up.

Field Day volunteers will be at FLB from 8am-noon.  Please check your email for a full list of participants.

Mr. Fenton’s Nessy group is cancelled for today.

Grade 8 Math Enrichment students please meet in Mr. Fenton’s office for a few minutes at the beginning of DSB today.

Anyone who has borrowed books from Mr. Fenton this year please make sure you return them by the end of the day today.

Dance tickets will be sold at lunch today.  The cost is $5 each and they will not be sold at the door.

There will be a very important meeting for the Track & Field team in the gym today during DSB.

GSA will be presenting today for grade 7 (9-10am) & grade 8 (11-12:15) classes.

Dance tickets will be sold today at lunch for the grade 8’s only.  They will be available for all grades tomorrow.  Tickets are $5 each and will not be sold at the door.

The final meeting for the Mental Health Committee will be held today at 11:25.

GSA presenters will be meeting today in room 2051 for a final practice before tomorrow’s presentation.

RMS representatives will be going with Mr. Quiring to FLB and WRES this morning to represent RMS to their grade 5 students.

A group of RMS students will be at FLB this morning working with the staff for field day.  Please see the email from Mr. Quiring for a full list.

Grade 8 students participating in the Awards ceremony are to meet in the theatre today at 2:45.  Please arrange to be picked up at 3:30.

The final meeting of Flex Your Head for grades 6/7 will be held at 1pm today.

Congratulations to the students who delivered an amazing performance in the Jungle Book Friday and Saturday. It was a great performance and we are proud of you.

The RMS final dance will be held on Wednesday, June 21st from 7-9. Tickets will be on sale starting Wednesday for Gr. 8 only, and Friday June 16th for grades 6 & 7.

Track and field practice today after school until 4pm. Please let Mme. Levesque know if you are unable to make it.

 All members of the Boys softball team meet Ms. Taylor in the breakfast program room during DSB.

 Students with amazing vases still in the office are asked to collect them this week. Art room is closed during DSB unless you have been asked to help in a special way this week.

Congrats to all students who participated in the Canada-wide Gauss math competition.  The top 5 grade 7 RMS students were Gabe Chartrand, Ella Webster, Carter Straight, Aidan Hamilton and Victoria Walker.  The top 5 grade 8 scores at RMS were achieved by Sarah Forsyth, Cole Fraser, Abby Leblanc, Brooklyn Douthwright, Madison Roper and Matthew LeCocq tied for fifth.
