Ø Congratulations to the girls’ softball team on winning their semi-final last night with a 11-8 win. A special mention to Robyn Thompson on her home run hit!!

Ø Thank you to the boys’ softball team for a great season. Although the boys were defeated by Evergreen yesterday, everyone played well and should be proud of their efforts. *Reminder to return your jerseys to Mr. Burkett ASAP

Ø Any books borrowed from Mr. Fenton in the resource room need to be returned by the end of today

Ø The last dance for this year will be held on Wednesday June 19th from 7:00-9:00 pm. Tickets will be on sale starting today at lunch. Tickets are $5.00 each. Please remember that NO tickets will be sold at the door

All students who participated in the math contests are asked to come to a short meeting today during break (9:50 am) in the cafeteria.

 

Mr. Terry’s morning classes go to the classroom this morning, not the computer lab.

All of Mme Berube’s classes will be in Mrs. Bell’s homeroom in the Tigers hallway today.

Congratulations to the track and field team on a job well done. They had a great day yesterday and represented RMS with pride. A huge thank you to Mr. Bouma and Mr. Richard for their help and leadership.

The boys softball game against Magnetic Hill today has been cancelled due to the weather.

ü A HUGE RMS shout out to Mrs. Landers for hosting “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” this weekend.  It was full of activities, prizes, volunteers and most of all valuable words to affirm self worth to the participants. It was a reminder that we are all valuable and worthy of respect and dignity.

ü Huge Thank you as well to Mr. Quiring, Mme Berube and all the volunteers for their participation & help to Mrs. Landers

ü A Big thank you goes out to all the members of the GSA for standing up for those in and out of the group who may have experienced isolation and adversity because of their gender or sexual identity. Your meetins will resume in September 2019

Ø The first Boys’ softball try-outs will begin today after school. They will be here in the soccer field from 3:00 – 4:15 , All boys trying out should meet in the gym after school

Ø The new SET of Leadership and Outdoor Equipment Management will be renting out equipment during grade 6,7 and 8 outside time starting today. Our Leadership SET will offer basketballs, soccer balls, tennis balls, skipping ropes and other equipment. Students will have to get in line at the table situated outside by the cafeteria door and sign out the equipment. At the end of lunch, students bring their equipment back and sign it in again.

Ø Reminder to the girls softball team that their next practice is tomorrow, after school

Ø The first tryouts for Track & Field will be tomorrow until 4:15. Please meet in the gym, after school
