Battery Blitz

Hello Shediac Cape Families,

This is Mme Bernard with a short message to inform you about the school’s participation in the Earth Rangers Battery Blitz.  For the next weeks, we encourage you to locate as many used batteries as you can find and send them to school to be recycled.  Cell phones and cell phone batteries are part of the program too!  Please help us help the environment by keeping batteries from making their way to landfills.  Collection boxes are located in the school office area and more information will be coming home with your child this week.

The Battery Blitz runs until May 16 so we have two weeks to get as many batteries as possible.

We have a total of six boxes to be filled for a chance to win a Pizza Party for the whole school!

Good afternoon Shediac Cape families,

This is Mme. Bernard and I have a few announcements.

Firstly, I would like to retract my message of last Friday regarding our school’s participation in the Shediac Parade.  Unfortunately, we will not be taking part in the parade this year due to district scheduled parent-teacher times.   However, we do encourage you to attend and enjoy the festivities!

A group of parents are organizing a Facebook online auction to help support the Shediac Cape Home and School.  If you have items that are new or gently used that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the school.   The committee is accepting donations until the end of this week and then the auction starts Dec 1st at www.facebook.com/shediaccapeauction/

We look forward to seeing you during parent-teacher on Thursday from 3 -6 pm and on Friday from 9-11 am.

Have a great week!

A few reminder items

Hello Shediac Cape families,

This is Janica Bernard from Shediac Cape School with a few reminder items.

We would like to extend our most heartfelt thank you for your generous support for our Spin-a-Thon fundraiser.  We continue to receive money at school and on the online platform.  We are very excited to tally up the numbers at the end of the day Friday.  We are positive we will surpass our goal!  If you have a chance on Friday, stop by the school between 9 am-12pm to cheer on our Sharks.  We will be spinning in the school parking lot so we ask that cars be parked at an alternate location.  We would also like to thank Sobeys who has generously donated food items to have a school wide BBQ with students.

Representatives from Mad Science will be on site during our Spin-a-Thon to promote their program.  We are thrilled to have them join us and are looking forward to seeing which cool experiments they will create!

Fit Camp registrations will take place at 11:00 am for community members who would like to participate in an after school fitness group from 3-4 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Scrabble Tournament is also taking place this weekend with competitors from all over.  We encourage students and families to register and take part in the fun!

Thank you and have a great day!

SPIN-a-THON

Hello everyone,

This is Madame Bernard from Shediac Cape School with a big huge reminder that this weekend is your last one to collect pledges for our Spin-a-Thon.  That’s right, we only have one more week to raise money before we SPIN on Friday.   Our goal is to reach $5000 and we need your help!  If every student can bring in $20, we will reach our goal for sure!  Please take a few minutes to ask your parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends of the family
Let’s make this our best fundraiser yet.
Thank you for your support and encouragement!
