Information Items:
-Thank you to those of you who have paid student fees. This year we added online payment (through Paypal) as an option.  The link to the online payment is: https://bigsanto.formbin.com/forms/fes_school_fees. We encourage online payment but cheques made payable to “Fairvale Elementary School” will continue to be accepted.
-If you have not yet done so, please return the signed allergy/ anaphylaxis information sheet (on purple paper) and the “Right To Information and Protection of Privacy Act” (on lime green paper).
-We have two designated drop off zones- one in front of the gymnasium and one at the gate directly across from the end door (gr. 4/5 door). We have had parents pull in behind parked vehicles (in front of Dreamland) and drop their children off. This is a safety issue on two fronts. Firstly, it means that children are darting around parked and moving vehicles and secondly, the drivers of the parked cars are not expecting vehicles to be parked behind them and thus an accident may occur. Please use the designated drop off zones unless you are parking in a parking spot and walking your children to the entrance to the playground.
-There are two different afterschool art programs being offered this fall and information on each came home today or will be arriving on Monday. Each one has a different approach for teaching art. If you are interested, please contact the artist on the number provided on the information sheet. Both programs have co-existed at other valley schools.
-Information on Fit-tastic program will be coming in the next week or two. One of the first programs being offered will be Sky Athletics Cheer! If you haven’t already purchased your F.E.S. Busy Family Calendar, it is not too late. Information will come home on Monday.
- We are in urgent need of Safe Arrival volunteers. If you are able to assist, contact Heather Davidson at 849-4324. The Home and School group thanks those who have returned their volunteer forms. If you haven’t returned yours yet, and are able to assist, please do so as soon as possible.
