This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School.
REVIEW OF THIS WEEK: Another busy week at Hampton Elementary with our Christmas concerts! We were thrilled to have two packed concerts in our gym. Thank you for your support of food, gifts and donations to the Hampton Food Basket. I said it at the end of the final concert, but I will share again how incredibly proud of all the students I am. It takes a lot to stand in front of a crowd that large and perform and every class did their very best for you.

Our library is closing for the holidays. Please return all books next week so we may do a final inventory over the last week. We do this as we have found in the past, books go missing over the busy holidays while families are travelling and visiting family and friends. We currently have 35 books still missing.

“Caught You Caring”: Students who have received “caught you caring” ballots will be chosen to visit the Craft Making station at noon in the Art Room. These are students who have been recognized for helping others.

Hampton Food Basket – Our Grade 5 students will be walking over to the Hampton Food Basket on Monday afternoon to assist the volunteers in emptying and organizing the shelves for the food baskets they prepare.

Grade 5 Sing Along at HMS: Our first transition event to Middle School will be Tuesday morning when our students will visit the Middle School for a sing along as well as hot chocolate!

Home and School: The January Hot lunch orders are due Wednesday, December 20th.

Last day: We welcome students to wear their pajamas to school on Friday for the last day of school before the holidays. Students will begin dismissal at 11:30AM – students will be called to the lobby as buses arrive.

Triathlon Medal Contest Students are invited to produce a unique design for the Hampton Ladies Triathlon medal. All entries must be received before the holidays.

BUS UPDATES: The Hammond river Bridge is opening later this afternoon. The students affected by this travel on Buses # 717, 718, 754 and 793. The routes will be going back to the original directions as they were prior to the closure. The drivers of the buses have spoken to the students about the changes that will take place starting Monday morning. If you could send out a message as well that would be greatly appreciated. The route  information can also be found  in Bus Planner.
