This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School. We gathered in the gym today for our Terry Fox walk and it seemed like we were free from the rain but we did get a few sprinkles!

Congratulations to the Hayward and Throop families for being the winners of our Agenda Scavenger Hunt. They won a family night out at the movies!

Cross Country continues afterschool on Wednesday with a Regional Meet in Saint John.

October Newsletter: Coming home on Monday!
School Clubs: Our many groups of clubs are up and running and we hope every student finds something to join. Currently we are running the following clubs/groups: Open Gym three mornings a week, Open Library two mornings a week, Monday at noon Lego, Wednesday at noon Games/Chess and Friday at noon Knitting. In addition our greenhouse program is up and running with students every day at recess and noon. We also have targeted groups starting such as Volcano (anger management), Remote Control (impulse control), Zones of Regulation (emotional regulation), Girls group (friendship skills), Rainbows (loss and grief) and Mindfulness (anxiety).
AFTERSCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES:
·        Mad Science Program: Thursday afterschool beginning Oct. 11-Nov 15 (6weeks) $80 madsciencesaintjohn@gmail.com

LOOKING FOR: Our new Grade 2 French Immersion classes are currently doing a unit on food and are looking for some props to help in their teaching. They would love to have donations of plastic food to create a “grocery store” play station in their classrooms.
