This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School with your weekly edition of the H.E.S. Hawk Squawk. Highlights for this week include: summary of the week, Author Visit, New Milk Order, Report Cards, Parent Teacher Meetings, Book Fair and a Special Whole School Assembly on Tuesday.
REVIEW OF THIS WEEK: It was a very short week due to the school closure and the holiday on Monday. I hope everyone stayed safe today. With the cold temperatures earlier this week and the snow today, winter has arrived and it’s time to dig out the snow gear including snow pants, hats, mittens and warm jackets!

On Monday, we welcome Author Maika Branch from Moncton through the NB Writers in Schools Program. Maika has published several books and is only 15 years old!  http://branchdesign.com/maikabranch/ and video: https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/1266268227806 (current) and a video of her in front of 700 people at age 11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3J5uvJMsao

Along with the new Milk Order beginning on Monday, Report Cards with assigned parent teacher times, will be sent home on Monday. Parent-Teacher Meetings will take place Thursday evening, November 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. AND Friday, November 23, from 8:30 until 11:00 a.m. If you would like to meet with one of our specialist teachers, please call the office (832-6021) to arrange an appointment. All schools are closed on Friday, Nov. 23 due to Parent Teacher Conferences.
Next weekend is a busy one with both our Holiday Extravaganza (local shopping in our gymnasium) as well as a donation drive.
