This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School. Here is your weekly edition of the HES Hawk Squawk.

BOOK SWAP: We have received just over 200 books to date! We still need more. As part of National Literacy Day we will be having a book swap. Please send in your previously read novels! On January 26th all students will be able to “shop” for a new to them book.
On Monday, your child will be bringing home a green slip with the contact information we currently have on file. Please look closely to see if any updates need to be made. You may return the slip with changes or call the school to give us updates on contacts, addresses, phone numbers and emails. Thanks for your help!
MISSING BOOT – One of our students arrived home with a mismatched sizing of boots. We are looking for a Cougar Storm Winter Boot with Black and White Polka Dots and Pink Trim. She is missing her Size 13 and has a Size 1 to return!
Key Industries is selling Pink Shirts again for Pink Shirt Day which takes place the last Wednesday in February. Slips will be going home on Monday. This is NOT a fundraiser and there is no pressure to purchase. Cost of shirts is $6 for students and adult shirts are also available.
All next week we will be celebrating Literacy! Students will hear on the announcements the different things we have planned through the week.

Our weekly Hawk Squawk is always posted on our school website under the Synrevoice tab!

Have a great weekend!

What’s happening in the Community?
Athletics New Brunswick is proud to announce the return of the Run Jump Throw Wheel Indoor Series. Last season was the inaugural event for the indoor version of the series and was very popular with over 100 young athletes coming out to compete. It is our hope to continue to build on the success of last season and keep more young athletes involved in the sport over the course of the winter.
The Series will once again consist of several regional RJTW competitions, which are open to all athletes ages 8-13, with the top 8 finishers in each event qualifying to compete in the RJTW Atlantic Championships. The Championship meet will be at UdeM campus in Moncton this year on Sunday, March 11, to coincide with the Atlantic Indoor Championships. The Atlantic Championships will serve as the culmination event of the series.
Athletes are also able to qualify through any school meets/challenges or any other meet hosted by a community group/organization. For interested parties, anyone is capable of hosting a Regional Meet and we encourage schools, recreation organizations and other groups to host a meet/challenge themselves to prepare their athletes for Atlantics. ANB will provide support in the form of an easy guide on running a meet, along with ribbons and qualifying tickets!
Please click here to visit the RJTW Series page and stay up to date.
