Hi everyone,
It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary with your Tuesday talk mail. Report cards went home yesterday! We are very proud of our students and how hard they are working. Thank you for all that you do to support their success every day!
Parent/teacher meetings are Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm and Friday from 8:30-10:30am. All appointments have been scheduled and your time should have been in your report card envelope. If you didn’t receive a time, please contact us so that we can give you one.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be set up in the front lobby during parent/teacher times if you would like to make a purchase. Students will get a preview of the books that will be available on Wednesday.
Thank you so much for supporting our Java Moose coffee fundraiser. Coffee can be picked up during parent teacher interviews. Home and School will be in the staff room on Thursday after 5:00 and in the gym on Friday morning with your orders. Next week, Home and School is sending home an information sheet on Kredl’s holiday produce packs if you are interested in purchasing these for the holiday season.
Our grade 2 choir is performing at the Empty Stocking Fund this Saturday between 1:30-2:00pm. If you would like to send in a donation for the Empty Stocking Fund, the choir will be making one on behalf of the school.
Just a reminder to please send your child to school with a warm jacket, mittens and a hat. This time of year they can even begin to wear their snow pants. It can be very cold outside and they are outside playing from 45 minutes to over an hour every day.
Finally, we will be starting skating in December. Times have not yet been confirmed, but I wanted to give you lots of time to find skates and a helmet for your child. We will send along a skating schedule as soon as it is confirmed.
