​Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary with your Tuesday talk mail. 
Report cards were sent home yesterday. We are very proud of how hard our children are working and how much they have already learned this school year! Thank you for all you are doing to support your child’s success at school. We look forward to seeing you at Parent/teacher on Thursday night and Friday morning. A reminder that there is no school for students on Friday. 
The Scholastic Book Fair arrives today after school. It will be set up for students to view books tomorrow. Students can purchase books from the book fair on Thursday morning or during the hours of Parent/teacher. There is no obligation to purchase books.
Milk and hot lunch order forms go home today and are due back on Thursday. 
Our grade 2 choir will be performing at the Empty Stocking Fund on Saturday between 2:00-2:30pm at Saint John High School. Choir members are asked to arrive between 1:30-1:45pm. The school will be making a donation to the Empty Stocking Fund on Saturday, so if you would like to send in a donation, please do so. 
Our Home and School has been very active planning many fundraisers to help to support our inclusive playground. Currently, we have our Second Cup Fundraiser taking place. The deadline for orders has been extended to Monday, November 26th.
Next week, Home and School will be sending home Match Box Pizza Fundraiser forms.  For only $20, you can buy a Match Box coupon good for a 16” Round 3 topping pizza and a 12” garlic fingers (value of $26).  $5 from each sale will go directly to our Inclusive Education & Play Initiative. 
We have a very exciting fundraiser to announce! Drum roll please!  Yesterday, we finalized plans to have James Mullinger perform a Comedy Night for us at Hampton High School on Thursday, April 25th, 2019. Stay tuned for more details in the very near future!  Proceeds from this show will also go to support our Inclusive Education & Play Initiative.
