Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary with a Tuesday talk mail.  

School photo proofs were sent home yesterday. Lifetouch has stamped November 20^th as the deadline for order forms. Retakes have been scheduled for Wednesday, December 2.

Today, students watched, and participated in a virtual Remembrance Day Ceremony. All of this month, our children have learned the reason for, and the importance of Remembrance Day. They have read books, participated in discussions, watched videos and some have visited the cenotaph. I am sending you a link to one of the 7 minute videos that they watched in case you are interested in seeing some of the material that they viewed.

Tomorrow, there is no school as it is Remembrance Day.

Pizza was a hit last Friday. I went around and did an informal survey with the students and it was given an overwhelming 2 thumbs up! We are happy to be able to offer this hot lunch once again.

Heads up that next Friday, November 20^th, there is no school for students as it is a Professional Development day for all staff in k-8 schools. I know it is over a week away, but I wanted to remind you in case you have to adjust childcare arrangements.
