December 11
Dec11th 2017

This is Christmas concert week. We will hold our first concert for A-L Families tomorrow, Tuesday Dec 12th and for our M-Z Families on Wednesday Dec 13th. Both concerts will begin at 11:45 and we will be accepting a Good Will Offering at the doors with the proceeds going to the Harbour Lights Campaign.

Our preferred seating winners for the Tuesday Concert are 1st place Diane Woods, 2nd place Kerry Betts, and 3rd place Krista Dyment. For our Wednesday Concert, 1st place Cecile Walsh, 2nd place Joanne Rose and 3rd place Tricia McLaughlin.

In the Lobby during the concerts the Home and School will be selling tickets for signed Brad Marchand Boston Bruin Hockey Jersey. Proceeds go towards the playground renovation project.

There will be a Reindeer Candy Cane sale in our lobby this week. Madame Pusch’s classes will be selling them for $1.00 with the proceeds going to Harbour Lights and also helps them meet their Generosity Challenge for December.

Several Grade levels have met their Generosity Challenge for the month of December. A reminder to our Grade 1, 2 & 3 students is for our Grade 1 students to bring in new hats and or mittens that we will donate to a school in need. Grades 2 &3 we would like the students to donate items to the pediatric unit at the hospital. They are in need of items such as colouring books, crayons, markers, craft kits/supplies, new stuffed animals, or books.

The last day for the ELF tutoring program that a few of our Grade 2 classes attend will be this Thursday Dec 14th.

If you have any gently used winter coats and snow pants that your children have out grown we have a drop off set up in the school lobby. We will be bringing the coats to children in need within the city.

All Cochrane’s Food Hamper orders are due this Thursday December 14th. Pick up will be Friday December 22nd at Cochrane’s Country Market.

The School Library is now closed until after Christmas and if you have any school library books at home please return them to the school before the Christmas break.

Our 50/50 winner was Martina Jones with a prize over $400.00. The Home and School thank you for your support.
