​In Sports News:

Badminton team tryouts/ practice continue on Wednesday from 3:00-4:30pm. Next week the team will practice on Tuesday and Thursday right afterschool until 4:30pm.

Intramurals – the gym will be closed today. Tomorrow we will start the tryouts for irls Girls High Jump – this will be for grade 6, 7 and 8. Boys High Jump tryouts will happen on Thursday – bring your lunch. 

There is a softball practice today after school from 3:00-4:30. Be on the field ready for warm-up by 2:55. 

Our first softball game is tomorrow (Wednesday) at Wells Field, in Rothesay, at 5:00 pm. Players need to be on the field at 4:30 for warmup.

May 17th every year is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. This day was first created in 2004 to draw attention and commemorate the World Health Organization’s decision in 1990 to remove being gay from their list of mental disorders.

May 17 is now celebrated in more than 130 countries, including 37 where same-sex relationships are still considered a crime. Thousands of initiatives will occur all over the planet today. 

Join us outside during lunch on THURSDAY, buy a freezie for a loonie and lets FREEZE OUT Discrimination at QMS.

And since freezie day has been moved, GSA will go ahead today at 11:50. All are welcome.

HPV & Tdap #2 Clinic

Attention students who did not receive vaccines on April 25th, Public Health will be here tomorrow – May 18th - to provide vaccinations to those who missed it.
