This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School.
We had two cars this morning who passed busses with flashing red lights. Safety of our students if of utmost importance. There is a substantial fine associated with passing a bus with lights flashing along with demerit points. We will be taking license plate numbers and forwarding them to the police as required. The front of the school is a bus zone – please drop your children off on the side walk by the Hawks Nest Playground OR pull forward to the traffic circle past the school.

Our Friday movie Night last week was a HUGE hit. We were able to raise nearly $1400 which will help support the purchase of Spark Brain Bikes for our school! This week we acknowledged National Take Me Outside Day. Teachers and students brought their learning outside. Activities included, science, art and phys ed outside. Take Me Outside Day recognizes the decline in children playing outdoors and the increase in screen time for our children. Our Fall fundraising total is close to $6000 which means we will receive a profit of approximately $2700. We also were able to raise money this week for the UNICEF organization.
