This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School.
REVIEW OF THIS WEEK: Our word of the week was ardent means to be passionate about something. This week our Grade 4 & 5 students completed the NB Wellness Survey. We also sent home family surveys for all students. These will be forwarded to Fredericton on Monday so please complete and send in any forms which are remaining. It is a simple two sided survey which helps us build goals for our school and our community in the area of Wellness. We had lots of Kindness happening at HES this week as we put a closer focus on KINDNESS and how we can make someone’s day without any cost. On Friday, it was great seeing all the different sports represented at our National Jersey Day!

Report cards, with assigned parent teacher times, will be sent home on Monday, November 21st. Specialist teachers during parent teacher: Mary Clarke (guidance counsellor) is located in the library and will be here Thursday evening 5-7PM, Barb Hill (Music teacher) located in the music room will be here and finally, Mrs. Henry (Phys Ed/Music teacher) will be here both Thursday evening and Friday morning and will be located in the gym. Please be patient as our teachers work through these meetings.

There will be a PSSC Meeting on Monday, November 21st at 6:30PM in the library. Members, please see email for minutes and agenda.

In our weekly Tuesday assembly we had to reschedule our visitors but they will be returning this week. Garth and Helena Miller are the race directors for the Hampton Ladies Triathlon held every June. They will share their knowledge about the sport of triathlon and also introduce a very exciting opportunity for our students – designing the medal for the event!

Santa shuffle On Thursday we will be having a “Santa Shuffle” Fun Run. This is a fundraiser for the Choir who will be attending the Empty Stocking Fund on the weekend and performing in the afternoon on Saturday between 4 and 4:30pm. Students can feel free to wear festive gear for this fun run – donations will be accepted.

Home and School News: Hot Lunch forms for the period of Dec 5th-Jan 20th are due by Thursday. Two new options: Monday French toast and Friday lasagna. Our Home and School is sponsoring a Christmas Float in the local Hampton Parade on Dec. 10th. A preparation night has been set for Thurs. Dec. 9 at 6PM in the school library if you are able to help out! Java Moose Coffee Fundraiser: Thank you for selling these bags of coffee.
