​We are going outside at lunch today and it will be slippery with the fine snow that has fallen on top of the ice! We had a student break their wrist yesterday as he was sliding on the ice so be very careful. Students will go out but must stay on the parking lot pavement area and close to the portable. No snowbanks, no basketball court, etc.

Congratulations to both the JV Girls and Varsity Girls basketball team on defeating RPS last night. Reminder to both of our girls’ basketball teams – your practices are cancelled today due to make up games.

Attention all QMS students interested in joining the intramural volleyball tournament. You can collect a team sign-up sheet from the gym today – all teams need to be passed in, with your $10.00 by Monday, Feb 6^th. Games will start Tuesday Feb. 7^th! Congratulations to Hannah Marshall who won 1^st place in the Intermediate B+W category of the Branch 58 Legion Remembrance Day Poster Contest! Hannah will be attending a ceremony in February to receive her certificate and cheque.

Other:

Pie in the Face!!! Tickets are on sale for the next couple of days to win an opportunity to pie a teacher in the face. $1 each or 5 for $3. Pies will be smushed on Wednesday afternoon, during an assembly. All proceeds will be donated to the Kids Help Phone.​
