Sports:

Congratulations to the JV Girls basketball team on defeating Hampton Middle School.

Good luck to the Varsity Boys basketball team as they host Harry Miller today at 4pm.

Good luck to the JV Boys basketball team as they travel to Hampton for a 4pm game.

Attention all QMS students interested in joining the intramural volleyball tournament. You can collect a team sign-up sheet from the gym today – all teams need to be passed in, with your $10.00 registration fee, by Monday, Feb 6th. Games will start Tuesday Feb. 7th! All students are welcome – please see Mr. Long or Mr. Robichaud if you have questions.

Chess Club is after school today in Mr. Crowther's room from 3:00 until 4:30; all are welcome.

Tomorrow is Suicide Prevention Day and we are encouraging all staff and students to wear yellow to show their support for the care of those dealing with mental illness and suicidal thoughts.

The 2023 Canadian Kangaroo Math Contest for NB students Grades 1-12 will be held on Sunday March 19, 2023.  There is an in-person event at UNBSJ and a virtual option.  If any students from grade 6-7-8 are interested, please see Mme Gallant in room 201 at 12:10 today for more information.

 

Grab and Go Breakfast Program- Beginning on Monday, in addition to the breakfast bowls that will be in classrooms, a new Grab and Go Breakfast program will be running 2 days each week. On Mondays, students can pick up a bagel, an English Muffin or a piece of fruit. On Wednesdays each week, students can pick up toast, oatmeal or a piece of fruit. Students are to line up outside the Art Room door, a staff member will let you in and you can get your Grab and Go Breakfast item from the BIM room beside the Art room and go back outside. It’s not a social area to hang out with friends, it’s Grab and Go Breakfast – GGB!​
