Information Sessions for Parents/Guardians on Policy 322- Inclusive Education

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development realizes the importance of

keeping parents informed on all educational matters and policy developments. In keeping with
this mandate, personnel at the Department and District Level will be hosting parent information
sessions in regard to Policy 322 which establishes the requirements to ensure New Brunswick
public schools are inclusive. Each parent session will focus on the intent of Policy 322 which is
"the pairing of philosophy and pedagogical practices that allows each student to feel respected,
confident and safe so he or she can participate with peers in the common learning environment
and learn and develop to his or her full potential". Parents will gain an understanding of the
intent and practice of this important educational policy and have an opportunity to ask questions
related to clarification of this policy.
