This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School. Here is your weekly edition of the HES Hawk Squawk.
It was a short week with all the storms. At this point we have reached 8 snow days which is always something our teachers keep in mind with the curriculum they are responsible to cover. I hope everyone stayed safe and dug themselves out from the snow! I would first like to thank our wonderful Home and School and amazing parents for sending in all of the food and treats this week. An extra special thank you to Amy, Jen and Melissa from Amy Wheatley and Associates for the massages. We are so lucky to work in a school where we are appreciated.
Phys Ed: With all the snow, our phys ed classes will be taking advantage of the outdoors by going snowshoeing. Please ensure your child has all their outdoor gear including snow pants, boots, and mittens/hats.
PSSC Meeting: Monday evening our PSSC will have our February meeting.
On Tuesday Keith Scott will be visiting with each grade level and then a full school presentation of his basketball tricks during our weekly assembly time.
Pink Shirt day is Wednesday. Please remind your child to wear pink on that day. There are lots of family friendly Pink Shirt Day Resources on the WITS page: http://www.witsprogram.ca/pink-shirt-day-2015/index.php#top
Friday, February 24th is a Provincial Professional Learning Day for staff so there is no school for students.
News from the HOME & SCHOOL: The new healthy lunch menu for March is now open for orders.  All orders & payments are due by MONDAY, Feb 20th and that if anyone wants to register the link can be found on the HES website.

March Break is March 6th-10th

Our weekly Hawk Squawk is always posted on our school website under the Synrevoice tab!
Have a great weekend!
