This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School.
REVIEW OF THIS WEEK: It has been a great week recognizing National Career Week. We welcomed one grade 9 student for “Take our Kids to work day”. On Thursday morning, students enjoyed learning about various professions and also exploring the 4th annual career fair expo. Thank you to our many volunteers that made this enrichment event so successful. We also were able to raise money this week for the UNICEF organization. A total of $194.90 was raised. It’s amazing how quickly those quarters add up – together we do amazing things at HES!

Important Date: There is no school for students on Wednesday November 8th. This is a full day of professional learning for teachers on the new Report Card.

Home and School News: Our Home and School kicked off their Fall “Java Moose coffee” fundraiser. All forms are due back on November 9th with coffee arriving just in time for the December holidays. The Home and School will meet on Thursday evening at 6:30PM. They are always looking for parent feedback so feel free to attend if you would like your voice heard.

REMEMBRANCE DAY: We will recognize Remembrance Day on Friday morning with an assembly in the gym at 10:30. Students can wear their uniforms from Girls Guides, Boy scouts. If students would like to receive a poppy, the Legion members will be here to accept donations for the purchase of a poppy sticker. On Monday, November 13th, all schools are closed.
