Shelly from the Sexual Health Program will be here today from 9:00 a.m. until noon to provide free, confidential services such as Birth Control help with pregnancy concerns STI testing and treatment.  Also at KV Oasis Youth Centre from 3:30 – 5:00 today as well.

·       Want to know more about university life from a former KVHS grad? Wondering if living away from home is for you? Come to the workroom on Thursday over the noon hour to hear all about university life? 11/15

·       The University of New Brunswick will be here on Monday, December 3rd for on the spot admissions.  Students must apply and pay online before attending.  Please sign up in the Guidance Centre for an appointment time. 12/3

·       The TD Scholarship for Community Leadership has arrived in the Guidance Office.  Applications are available for pick up.  They are due November 16^th. 11/16

·        Any Students interested in attending Queen’s University to study Commerce should check out the D & R Sobey Atlantic Admission Award posted in the Guidance Centre.

·         Mount Allison University will be here on Monday, November 19^th to have individual meetings with interested students:  Please sign up in Guidance for an appointment time.  If you meet with them, the recruiters will give you an online code that will waive the admission fee. 11/19

·        Information on the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award (value $28000) is available in the guidance department. 11/16

·         The Future Health Research & Innovation Scholarship has arrived in the guidance department. Check it out!! 11/15

·        Interested in learning more about Chinese culture and travelling to major cultural and historical sites in China?? The China Summer Cultural Program for New Brunswick students will be travelling from NB to China from July 3-20, 2019 on an all-inclusive trip. The deadline for application is December 7, 2018. Advisory Teachers! Please check your mailboxes for any of your student’s yearbook order forms.  They must be completed and returned to the Yearbook editors before the end of next week!  They can be placed in the folder outside the yearbook room, or in the yearbook mailbox

Renaissance will be having its 10^th annual Used Book Sale this Friday, November 16^th and Saturday November 17^th.  The sale will open to KVHS staff and students after school.  The sale runs on the Friday from 6 – 9 pm and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the KVHS cafeteria.  If you have books to donate, please bring them to Mrs. Wright in Room 136 in the Math Wing.

MUSIC - DRAMA – THEATRE – ART

The KVHS Concert Band is selling Saint John Sea Dogs flex tickets as a fundraiser.  Tickets can be used at any home game until March 10^th.  If you would like to buy Sea Dog tickets please see Ms. Palmer or any band member.  The band will be playing the national anthem at the Sea Dogs game on Wednesday, November 21^st.  Come out and support the game and support the band.

To all Grade 9 students who took Art with Ms. M. Nicholson last quarter, you can come get your Art Projects and sketch books this week at lunch.

SPORTS

The boy’s hockey team lost a close one last night in St. Stephen.  They play again Tuesday night against Saint John High.

Ski team forms are now available in the Office.  We are skiing on Mondays.  Please have forms returned by December 1^st.  It is first come first serve, please return paperwork to the office to secure your spot.  Thank you!
