PRUDE Inc. - New Brunswick Black History Society – Mill Rats
An exhibit will be set up in recognition of our local Black History.  A member from each organization will be available to share information on the past history, present and future programs / services offered in our community.

YOUR HISTORY CAN BEGIN TODAY "IN BLACK & WHITE"
Imperial Theatre, 24 King Square South.
7:00 pm. In recognition of Black History Month PRUDE Inc., in partnership with Mr. Clyde Wray, will host an evening Free to the public. Performers will re-enact, using props, how stereotypes and discrimination weigh a person down. A backdrop of visual pictures will be shown depicting people living, working, and playing together as equals in a way to promote how Black Canadians have contributed to the growth and prosperity of our Canadian Society. A story will be shared through spoken word, music, and dance. Community organizations will showcase their service's in the foyer. Come and be a part of our diverse community to celebrate what makes up the fabric of our great city.

The Saint John Public Library – Market Square & PRUDE Inc.
 
There will be a showing of “Poor Boy’s Game” a Canadian-made film directed by Clement Virgo film set in Halifax (1h 41m) recognizing Black History Month. The Library is offering a room that would seat 70 for private viewing.  Teachers interesed in participating in this are asked to call the Carole MacFarquhar directly at 643-7237 or by email carole.macfarquhar@gnb.ca.
