This is a message from Mrs. Blanchard, Principal at Hampton Elementary School.
Thank you for sending back your green Volunteer forms. All entries were put in a draw and we have a winner: Alycia Leonard is the winner of $25 of Scholastic Books. Thank you also to those who sent back the Agenda Scavenger Hunt contest. I hope you learned a lot about our school. The two winners for this prize will be drawn at our assembly next week.
Student fees ($60) are due by the end of the month. Please pay online at https://asd-s.schoolcashonline.com/ We would like to thank 209 students for paying their student fee. We are still waiting for a few more to trickle in. If you are having difficulties online, please call the school or send your fee to the office.
On Monday our milk program begins for those who have paid online.
Our first PSSC Meeting of the school year is Monday evening at 6:30PM and we will meet in the library.
Next week we will continue with our routine emergency practice protocols. We will have a scheduled lockdown practice on Tuesday and we will have an unannounced fire drill in the week.
Student Picture Day is Wednesday, September 19th! Harvey Studios will be here taking classes for their individual photos. Students will NOT be permitted to have their photo taken unless they have given permission and returned the signed RTIPPA form.
Cross Country continues afterschool on Wednesday with the students ready to run at 3:15PM at the Qplex.
AFTERSCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES:
·        Estey Art Afterschool Program: Tuesday afterschool beginning October 9 – 10 weeks - $185 Interested students can sign up by emailing jennifer@esteycreations.com or online: http://esteyart.com/

Becca Schofield Day (message from Mrs. Veniot Guidance Counsellor): Tomorrow is Becca Schofield Day in recognition of the outstanding efforts of this young woman to encourage goodwill and kindness. Please encourage your children to perform random acts of kindness and report back with their little paper heart! The hearts will be placed on display on a bulletin board in the school.
LOOKING FOR: Our new Grade 2 French Immersion classes are currently doing a unit on food and are looking for some props to help in their teaching. They would love to have donations of plastic food to create a “grocery store” play station in their classrooms.
