Millidegville North School Celebrates Global & Local Initiatives

​Globally, the students at Millidgeville North School  are supporting food and medical care for an orphan named Shaluwa in Uganda. They needed to raise 300 dollars  by the end of the school year. So far they have raised 428 dollars and they will continue to raise more. Their first initiative was making and selling Christmas ornaments. They will be Skyping  3 times this year to gain a better understanding of Uganda, Shaluwa’s school environment and her life in the orphanage. 

 
Locally the students  supported a local family through Social Development to make their Christmas one they would remember. They provided several food gift cards, basic household necessities, warm clothes for winter, a wonderful Christmas dinner and several nice toys for the children. The students were able to get a better understanding of the various needs within our community.
