NBCC St. Andrews Campus Celebrates Volunteerism in Charlotte County Schools

On October 15, 2014, NBCC launched the Robertson Institute for Community Leadership, a flagship initiative of  their strategic plan that brings to life NBCC’s vision of “transforming lives and communities.”  For this inaugural event, NBCC students, staff, board members and alumni embarked on community service work.  The St. Amdrews campus specifically focused their  community service on the theme “Feed the Need for Charlotte County” in support of their community food banks.  They collectively raised the equivalent of 9000 pounds of food.

NBCC values the relationships built with our schools over the past two years, and they feel that it is important to foster those relationships for the benefit of their  students and their communities.  Some of the recent activities that NBCC and our  St. Stephen Ed. Centre schools have collaborated on together are:

·        Aquaculture Technician Program, Environmental Science class project with Fundy High School
·        Carpentry Program, Open Classroom project with St. Stephen Middle School
·        Practical Nurse Program, Wellness Fair project with St. George Elementary School
·        IT: Network Support Program, worked with Technology Club at St. Stephen High School
