ATHLETICS NEWS
 
·         Mark your calendar.  This Wednesday, Nov 18th will be the date for the Annual Rip Seely Memorial basketball games between our RHS and KVHS Sr boys and girls basketball teams.  This year RHS will host in our gym.  The Sr girls game is @ 6pm and the Sr boys will start @ 8pm.  All gate proceeds go into the Annual Rip Seely Basketball Scholarship to be given yearly by RHS and KVHS to both a male and female graduate with high academic standing.  Adults- $5, students/Children- $2.  Come out and support your team.  Red Hawk Pride!!
 
·         Mr. Jordan is looking for score keepers for upcoming HOME basketball games.  The pay is $10/score keeper/game- easy money.  Only experienced score keepers need apply.  Please see Mr. Jordan asap or sign up at the main office on the sign-up sheet on the counter.  Games are starting soon. Don’t miss your chance.  Get a front row seat for Red Hawk action plus get paid.  What could be better?!  Red Hawk Pride!!!

GUIDANCE NEWS
 
·         Grade 12s -  Several information sessions this week:
o   University of Toronto – Wednesday, Period 3 – Conference Room
o   St. Mary’s University – Thursday at noon – Room 102
o   St. Thomas University – Friday, Period 2 – Room 100
o   McGill University – Friday at 2:00 p.m. – Conference Room
See Mrs. Godwin to sign up for any of the sessions that are during class time.  Teacher permission is required.

STUDENT COUNCIL NEWS
 
·         Don’t forget tomorrow is tacky tourist day and there will be a photo shoot at lunch! There will be prizes!!

OTHER NEWS
 
Hey everyone! The day is here. Ms. Doyle-Yerxa will be in the school tomorrow at 12:30pm to announce this year’s musical title!!  We are looking for lots of new talent – come on out to the information meeting.

·         Good morning everyone! We are starting a Rothesay High winter coat drive! We will be collecting any new or gently used coats for the teen resource centre. You can drop your coats off in a bin in the front office. Remember to bring in your coats and help make your community a better place!

·         Choir will rehearse today at noon instead of tomorrow for those who can make it.

·         Grad Class clothing is now for sale! It will be sold in the student lounge during the second half of lunch. The clothing will be sold until November 19th and will not be sold again. This is your only chance to buy grad class clothing so do not forget!

·         Good morning Redhawks! It is still Respect and Diversity Week in ASD-S and today we encourage all of you to do a random act of kindness. Get out and do something nice for a teacher, staff member or fellow student today. Rothesay High encourages everyone to respect people, respect property and respect punctuality.

·         A reminder that tomorrow is International Men's Day.  Thank you to all who came by during lunch yesterday to sign the Movember Man and receive a treat. The Beyond the Hurt and Equality group members will be in the lounge again today at lunch if you missed your chance.
