Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must possess a NB Teacher’s Certificate, B Contract with Anglophone South School District, have teaching experience in the public school system teaching English Language Learners, knowledge of curriculum documents and resources, demonstrated experience collaborating with teachers, experience with and knowledge of inclusive practices, differentiation, and formative assessment. Experience in facilitating professional learning is also a requirement for this position. Preferences will be given to candidates who have demonstrated leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, as well as experience in resource and/or guidance. Preference will also be given to candidates who possess a TESL Certification and/or SIOP Training. These qualifications should be clearly documented in your resume.

FOR “B” CONTRACT TEACHERS IN ASD-S ONLY
Description:
The EAL Lead will collaborate with the District EAL & ESS teams as well as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. The successful candidate will work with schools to support teachers, organize and facilitate professional learning, teach model lessons and demonstrate appropriate instructional strategies and practices. They may also be asked to co-teach with other teachers. The successful candidate will also work with ESS and provincial curriculum documents, provincial reading and writing standards, cross-curricular literacy connections as well as EAL specific assessments and promote best instructional practices that will benefit all students. This Lead will take on the role of researching and supporting resource and guidance teams in all relation to English Language Learners. Travel throughout Anglophone South School District will be required.
