KVHS Morning Announcements

GENERAL INFO
· A reminder that the Perfect Attendance Breakfast for Quarter 3 is at 8:30am tomorrow, April 12th for those that have been invited!
· The sexual health nurse will not be here today. She will return with her regular hours next week!
· Reminder to grade 9 students attending NBCC Try A Trade tomorrow, please bring your permission slip to the main office.
· Renaissance is selling flowers at the musical for $3 each. Purchase one to show your support for a cast or crew member!
· Hey KV! Don’t forget the KVHS Career Fair is happening TODAY in the mini-gym. Real employers are here and accepting resumes today. Beat the university crowd and get yourself a great job for the summer or longer term and see what our employers can offer you! The fair will be happening all morning until 1pm, so come check it out at break or lunch and don’t forget your resume!
· If you are in grade 10 or 11 this announcement is for you! On Wednesday, April 24th at 6:30pm there will be laser tag for grade 10s and 11s. Tickets will be available the week before so don’t forget to stop by the table in the lobby to get yours. This night will be tons of fun so don’t miss out!
· Are you interested in building your leadership skills? On April 17th at KVHS we are hosting a one day student leadership conference with the Canadian Student Leadership Conference with the Canadian Student Leadership association. The cost to attend is $25 and includes lunch. To register please see Mrs. Wright in room 136 by April 10th.
· Would all students interested in the unique painting project with Ms. Nicholson please come to a meeting at 12:35pm in Ms. Nicholson’s art room. See you there!
ATHLETICS
· Track and field practice and registration at noon tomorrow in the gym. See you there!
ACADEMICS
· Anyone interested in taking COOP next year must have their application form signed by a guardian and given to Mr. Doiron by Friday, April 12th at noon.
· If you are a grade 9 student who just finished art and would like to pick up your art projects, they will be outside of the art room.
MUSICAL
Could all members of the musical cast and crew who are planning to attend dramafest please come to a meeting in the theatre today at 12:30pm. Thank you!
GUIDANCE
· Applications for COOP 120, PE Leadership 120, Outdoor Pursuits 110 and Reading Tutor 120 are due Friday, April 12/19.
GRADS
· Hey grads! On April 18th we will be having an Easter Egg hunt in celebration of Easter! The cost is $5 and you must come in teams of 4. You have a chance to win some egg-cellent prizes!
CLUBS
· Could all members of Renaissance please meet today, Thursday, April 11 at 12:30pm in Mrs. Wright’s room, room 136. New members are always welcome!
· There will be a GSA meeting today in room 404. New and returning members are welcome!
