GENERAL INFO

·       Mrs. Hawkes is out today – Library is closed unless supervised by Teachers.

·       The last KD day for this school year is today -Wednesday, May 22.

• Looking for information about scholarships, bursaries, post-secondary visits and other       information? Visit the guidance centre and check back often for updates!
• Attention KV – This Thursday at noon there will be speeches in the Theatre by all candidates running for the 2019 – 2020 Leadership Team – Come and meet the candidates and then make sure to VOTE on Friday at lunch in the mini gym.
• Hey KV! Next week will be spirit week!  On Monday we will have a Blue and Yellow day for Relay for Life and Wednesday will be a mega Blue and White day for our promo video.  We will also be giving relay teams a chance to do their fundraiser at lunch.
• Hey Grads!  We will be selling grad dinner tickets all next week.  They are $20.00 and include your dinner and grad cup.  The event will be June 4^th.
  
   
  ACADEMICS

• Mr. Morton’s Yoga 110 and Grade 9 Phys. Ed classes do not need to change for class.
  
  
  ATHLETICS
• Any students interested in Summer Hockey should see Mrs. Farren in Room 402 for information on the Yerxa Summer League.  This is a non-checking program for both female and male players.
  
   
• Attention all student athletes, the Athletic Award Banquet is Friday, May 24^th.  All student athletes, grades 9 – 12 are invited and encouraged to come.  It will start at 1:00 with some desserts, snacks, and refreshments in the gym, and the Ceremony will start at 1:30.  This is a semi-formal event, so this means NO JEANS AND T-SHIRTS.  Hope to see all student athletes in the gym this Friday.

• Attention all Crusaders!  We have now passed 20% of our goal of $20,000.00 for Relay for Life.  We will be holding registration today at lunch and for those who register and pay sometime this week, you will be entered into a draw to win a gift card for Thai Pho.  You can also register on your own online at Relayforlife.ca/kvhs.  There are 16 days to relay, so get registered and get fundraising!  If you have collected any cash or cheque donations, you can bring them with you to the event on June 6^th.

We are looking for students to volunteer on the night of June 6^th to do some face painting.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Lanigan in Room 115 or Mrs. Mawer in Room 002 under the Library.

• Good luck to the Girls Rugby Team as they play against Simonds High School this evening at 5:00.  Don’t forget to be dressed and ready at Simonds for warm up at 4:00 girls.​
