Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants must possess a N.B. Teaching Certificate, a preference to a B Contract with Anglophone South School District; have a minimum of five (5) years teaching experience in the public school system teaching in the subject area and grade level of the position; knowledge of science curriculum documents and resources; demonstrate experience collaborating with teachers; experience with and knowledge of inclusive practices, differentiation, and formative assessment.  Experience in facilitating professional learning is also a requirement for this position.  Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.  These qualifications should be clearly documented in your resume.

Job Description

Description:

The Lead will collaborate with the Subject Coordinator to:

·         Support science teachers in their lesson planning and assessment practices through the coaching model.

·        Promote and work with PLCs within and between schools.

·        Provide Professional Learning for teachers on best practices in STEM to promote engagement and student learning.

·        Works with schools to develop innovative teaching practices in STEM areas.

·        Continue professional growth in the area of teaching and learning STEM.
