Description:
The Social Worker will be a member of an Integrated
Service Delivery Child and Youth Team, providing integrated assessment and
intervention services to children and youth with emotional and behavioural
issues. The Child and Youth Teams are comprised of school psychologists,
Addiction and Mental Health clinicians, school guidance counsellors,
Education Support Teachers, school social workers, and behaviour
interventionist mentors. Team members will provide services to a cluster of
schools in Kings County.
Assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation
interventions would be delivered in the school and community contexts. This
would involve providing the necessary supports to children, youth, and their
families in their respective schools, neighborhoods, or other accessible
community based service locations. Child and Youth Team members will develop
collaborative working relationships and service linkages with other
specialized departmental and community agencies that provide essential
supports to meet the adaptation needs of children, youth and their families.
Qualifications: Graduation
from university with a master’s degree in social work, or graduation from
university with a Bachelor of Social Work degree, plus related experience, or
graduation from university at the bachelor level in a related discipline as
recognized by the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers plus
considerable related experience.
Necessary Special Requirement: Registration [or eligibility] with the New
Brunswick Association of Social Workers.
Salary: In accordance with the New
Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees–Professional Support Group
Collective Agreement, $1,749.25 to $2,247.69 bi-weekly.
