Qualifications

Requirements
·        NB Teacher’s Certificate (minimum Certificate V)
·        A Master of Education in Counselling or equivalent graduate degree is preferred.
·        A minimum of five years relevant teaching experience
·        Experience in facilitating professional development for teachers
·        Working knowledge of Education Support Services
·        Ability to work with minimum supervision and direction
 
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Written and spoken competence in English is essential.

ANGLOPHONE SOUTH SCHOOL DISTRICT
INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION
 
Positive Learning Environment Coordinator for Guidance
and Integrated Service Delivery Processes
 
          Pay Band 7    ($2954 - $3573 Bi-Weekly)
Effective: May, 2018
Areas of Responsibility
·        Supervise the Comprehensive and Development School Counselling Program in the district.
·        Leadership responsibilities include Positive Learning Environment, LGBTQ + Education, Objective 7 of the 10-Year Education Plan, Violent Threat Risk Assessment.
·        Responsible for representing the district in the Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) model, including providing support to the ISD Child and Youth Teams.
·        Supervise Positive Behaviour Intervention & Supports (PBIS) and Restorative Practices in the district.
·        Provide support to school-based Education Support Services Teams, including sitting as a member of several teams.
·        Provide professional development and training for guidance counsellors and guidance teachers.
·        Supervise district Guidance Lead Teachers and Respect & Diversity Lead Teachers.
·        Share leadership responsibilities within District Education Support Services Team
·        Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education Support Services or Superintendent.

·        This position reports to the Director of Education Support Services
