Make Your Own Heritage Minute - Student Contest

Have you ever wanted to make your own Heritage Minute? The Make Your Own Heritage Minute: Stories of Sir John A. Macdonald and the Fathers of Confederation Student Contest invites Canadian students and educators to explore the legacy of Sir John A. Macdonald and the Fathers of Confederation by creating their very own Heritage Minute-style video. Enter your video for a chance to win great prizes!

A program of Historica Canada, the Contest is offered in both official languages and open to students across Canada in grades 5-12 and grade 5 to secondary V in Quebec. Download our free bilingual learning tools and help your class discover the complexities of Confederation that created Canada “From Sea to Sea” – available for junior /intermediate (grades 5-8, grade 5 to secondary II within Quebec) and senior (grades 9-12, secondary III to secondary V within Quebec) students.
The deadline for the contest is November 30, 2015. Grab your video cameras and history books, it’s time to get filming!
