November 25 – December 10 is 16 days of Orange the World, raising awareness for
gender-based violence including domestic abuse, rape and child marriage. Monday’s fact: approximately every 6 days a woman in Canada
is killed by her intimate partner. Out
of 83 police reported intimate partner homicides in 2015, over 80% were
women. There will be a bake sale on
December 6 to raise money for Christmas Shoeboxes for homeless shelters!
