​On Thursday, October 15th, the staff and students of Bayside Middle School took to streets of East Saint John for the 14th annual Walk for Kaitlin. This fundraiser is Bayside's annual campaign to help raise money for families with terminally ill children to enjoy a wish. The students, staff, and Bayside community raised over $23,000.00 in less than two weeks. This brings the total amount raised to over $307,000.00 over the past 14 years. This walk is dedicated to Kaitlyn Doucette who lost her life to cancer while attending Bayside. The guests of honour this year where members of Josh Gunn's family. Josh, a Bayside student, passed away this summer after a courageous battle with Batten's Disease.
